In House / Attic Setup
The six inch P.V.C. pipes come from outside, into the back of a closet, and then up into the attic.
In the attic is an existing air conditioning heat pump and air handler. The air handler consists of a blower fan that takes air from an existing intake and then blows it through ductwork throughout the house.
Instead of setting up a whole new system we have opted to utilize the existing blower fan and the existing duct work by inserting a "shunt" between the existing air intake and the blower fan.
The "shunt" redirects the air from the air intake into our underground system and then sends it to the blower fan.
Note that a "removeable partition" was installed in case the system does not work. - The partition could be removed and the six inch P.V.C. pipes capped to restore the system to its original configuration.
